Ramapo Supervisor Arrested On Charges Tied to Ballpark Financing

Boulders Announce ‘Beers Around the Bases’ Festival

RDA Refinancing Ramapo Ballpark

Boulders’ Success Factors Drawing Complaints

While more and more fans are coming out to watch the burgeoning indy pro Rockland Boulders (Can-Am League), some neighbors near Provident Bank Park, including the local animal shelter, are complaining about the noise from regular fireworks shows and concerts.  The team says they have received very few calls raising concerns.  Read more here.

Ramapo Ballpark Revenues $300K Shy of Projections

The financials are in for the first-year operations of Provident Bank Park, home of the indy pro Rockland Boulders (Can-Am League), and revenues came in $300,000 short of what consultants projected in 2010.  Read more here.

SWB Yankees to Ramapo?

One New York radio host has opined that Provident Bank Park, home of the indy pro Rockland Boulders (Can-Am League), would be the perfect temporary home for the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (International League), while PNC Field is being renovated.  We don’t think there is a snowball’s chance, but it’s an interesting thought.  Read more here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the link.

Ballpark Doors Opened to FEMA

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened a federal Disaster Recovery Center at Provident Bank Park, home of the indy pro Rockland Boulders (Can-Am League), to assist businsses and residents who sustained property damage during Tropical Storm Irene.  Read more here.  This is a nice community outreach move by Ramapo/Rockland County to do something good and bring attention to the new stadium.

Fans Pack the House for Boulders’ Inaugural Home Opener

The new 4,500-seat Provident Bank Park in Ramapo (NY) opened for business last night in front of an over-capacity crowd of 6,317, as the Rockland Boulders defeated the Brockton Rox 3-1.  Read more and view video and photos here.

Fido, Fifi to Fight Fireworks
