Pecos League to Amarillo Decision Delayed, Dunn Told to Hold Off Selling Tickets
The Potter County (TX) Commissioners Court agreed Monday to put a two-week hold on their decision to allow the Pecos League to be a 2017 summer tenant in Potter County Memorial Stadium. League commissioner Andrew Dunn had jumped out ahead of the process by announcing the team after agreeing to a sublease to use the ballpark and was asked to hold off on selling tickets for now. Despite Announcement, Amarillo Lone Stars’ Ballpark Deal Not Finalized

Thunderheads Given OK to Begin Ballpark Renovations
The indy pro Amarillo Thunderheads (American Association) have been given the green light to begin bidding out the work to renovate the locker rooms, concession stands and dugouts at Potter County Memorial Stadium over the course of the next three seasons. Renovations Coming to Potter Stadium
Stephanie Tucker, vice president and general manager of the indy pro Amarillo Thunderheads (American Association), said there is a master plan in the works to improve the playing field, the locker rooms, dugouts and other amenities throughout Potter County Memorial Stadium. Ballpark Talk Continues in Amarillo
Amarillo city officials and the inaugural Amarillo Sox continue to ponder renovating Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium (Potter Memorial Stadium) or building a brand new ballpark to house the team. Judge Puts Final Nail in Dillas’ Coffin?
No big surprise here, but a judge has rejected a motion by Reunion Sports Group, the owner of the United League’s Amarillo Dillas, to keep the American Association’s Amarillo Sox from taking up residence at Potter County Memorial Stadium, now known as Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium. Potter County Approves Dollars for Ballpark Improvements
The Potter County (TX) Commissioners have approved $30,000 for a few ballpark improvements at Potter County Memorial Stadium (aka Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa). The improvements include renovating the ticket booths and relocating fencing. Read more here.

Dilla Villa to Get New Name (at Some Point)
Potter County Memorial Stadium, also known as the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa, will likely get a new name, once Southern Independent Baseball, the facility’s new tenant, settles in. Judge Dan Schaap has denied the temporary injunction motion filed by the United League’s Amarillo Dillas to keep Potter County (TX) from bringing an American Assocation team to Potter County Memorial Stadium (Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa) to replace them. Read more here.

Dillas Seek Injunction
The United League’s Amarillo Dillas are seeking an injunction to prevent Potter County from leasing Potter County Memorial Stadium (Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa) to Southern Independent Baseball. Judge Dan Schaap heard arguments on Monday and expects to make a decision on the motion for a temporary restraining order this week. Read more here.

New Tenant Approved in Amarillo
As expected, Southern Independent Baseball led by Scott Berry and Potter County finalized a lease contract today that will bring an American Association team to Potter County Memorial Stadium, former home of the United League’s Amarillo Dillas.
