Pioneers to Host 2018 PGCBL All-Star Game

PRESS RELEASE – The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League is proud to announce that the Elmira Pioneers and Historic Dunn Field will host the 2018 All-Star Game presented by Hilliard Corporation and STCF on July 18th in Elmira, New York.

GCBC Issues Statement on Muckdogs

Genessee County Baseball Club (GCBC), the nonprofit that has owned the Batavia Muckdogs (Single-A, New York-Penn League, issued a statement last week announcing that the franchise has been transferred to the league.  Read statement here. If the NYPL Muckdogs do not return to Dwyer Stadium in 2018, expect the summer collegiate PGCBL and NYCBL to be all over it.

Perfect Game League Announces New Director of Communications

DiamondDawgs Getting New Lights

The city of Little Falls (NY) has received a $484,000 grant from the state that will, in part, be used for new lights at the Veterans Memorial Park baseball field, home of the summer collegiate Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League).  Read more here.

Cheeseburger Restaurateur Interested in Watertown (UPDATED)

Bruce Zicari, founder and CEO of a chain of family restaurants, Cheeseburger Cheeseburger based in Naples (FL) and located in 16 states, has expressed interest in bringing a team to Watertown (NY) as a member of the start-up East Coast Baseball League.  A franchise from the ECBL, PGCBL or NYCBL could replace the departed Watertown Rams at Alex T. Utica Brewers Extend Lease

PRESS RELEASE – Utica Brewers Owner and President Butch Russo announced yesterday that the Brewers have signed a three year lease extension with the Oneida County Sports Authority to keep the team at Murname Field at Donovan Stadium for three years.  The agreement ensures there will be PGCBL baseball at the venerable ballpark thru 2017.

Watertown Rams Extend Lease
