Jammers Secure Ballpark Lease, Will Return to Action in 2020
With the stroke of a pen on Monday afternoon, the lease to use Russell E. Deithrick Jr. Park in Jamestown (NY) was transferred to Jamestown Community Baseball LLC, which will bring the Jamestown Jammers (Summer Collegiate, Perfect Game League) back to the park for at least the next six (6) years starting in 2020. PGCBL’s Jammers Go Dark for 2019 Season, Team to be Donated
The Jamestown Jammers will cease operation for the 2019 season as a team in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (Summer Collegiate). Team and city officials made the announcement Wednesday at Russell Diethrick Park. ROC Ventures plans to donate the team and its assets to a local nonprofit organization. Read more here.

Damaschke Field Grandstand to be Replaced
Damaschke Field, for decades the site of baseball games and community events, will be renovated thanks to a $1 million state grant. The grant, funded through the State and Municipal Facilities Program, will be used to demolish the park’s grandstand and rehabilitate the space to provide a safe, family-friendly recreational area. City Receives Grant, Improvements Coming to Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds Ballpark
Some $145,000 in improvements are on deck next spring at the ballpark at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertwon (NY), including a new sound system and bleachers and a series of improvements in the facility’s locker rooms. The roof above the locker rooms also will be repaired. Read more here.

GCBC Issues Statement on Muckdogs
Genessee County Baseball Club (GCBC), the nonprofit that has owned the Batavia Muckdogs (Single-A, New York-Penn League, issued a statement last week announcing that the franchise has been transferred to the league. Read statement here. If the NYPL Muckdogs do not return to Dwyer Stadium in 2018, expect the summer collegiate PGCBL and NYCBL to be all over it.
Little Falls Approves Three-Year Lease with DiamondDawgs

Baseball Returns to Watertown, Ballpark Getting Upgrades
Beginning in June of 2018, S&V Baseball Management will bring baseball back to Watertown (NY), with the new Watertown Rapids (Summer Collegiate, Perfect Game League) playing home games at the Alex T. Cheeseburger Restaurateur Interested in Watertown (UPDATED)
Bruce Zicari, founder and CEO of a chain of family restaurants, Cheeseburger Cheeseburger based in Naples (FL) and located in 16 states, has expressed interest in bringing a team to Watertown (NY) as a member of the start-up East Coast Baseball League. Three Leagues Interested in Watertown Ballpark
Three baseball leagues have expressed interest in bringing a team to the city that would replace the summer collegiate Watertown Rams (Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League) at Alex T.
