Gee-Gees Relocate to Ottawa Baseball Stadium

In an effort to raise the profile of their baseball program, the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees (yes, Gee-Gees, not Bee Gees) will play all their home games at Ottawa Stadium.  For those interested, a Gee-Gee is apparently the name given to the first horse out of the starting gate in horse racing.  Read more here.

Over 7,000 Show Up to Watch Fat Cats

Saturday night was a big night at Ottawa Baseball Stadium, as 7,355 fans reportedly showed up to watch the Ottawa Fat Cats (Intercounty Baseball League) take on Barrie Baycats.  This bolstered at least one columnist’s case for a return of affiliated ball to Ottawa.  Triple-A or Double-A?  Unlikely, Mr. Gray.  Read more and watch video here.

The Future of Ottawa Baseball Stadium, Soccer Dome
