Damaschke Field Grandstand to be Replaced

Damaschke Field, for decades the site of baseball games and community events, will be renovated thanks to a $1 million state grant.  The grant, funded through the State and Municipal Facilities Program, will be used to demolish the park’s grandstand and rehabilitate the space to provide a safe, family-friendly recreational area.  Read more here.

Saratoga Phillies Are Back, Join NECBL

After ditching Damaschke Field in Oneonta (NY) and the summer collegiate Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, the former owners of the Oneonta Outlaws have returned to Saratoga Springs (NY) and East Side Recreation Park to re-launch the Saratoga Phillies — but this time as a new member of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.  This is the NECBL’s first-ever franchise in New York.  Read more here.

Sale of Outlaws Finalized, Team to Play in NYCBL

Sale of Oneonta Outlaws Close

Oneonta (NY) businessman Gary Laing expected to review the final contract for the sale of the summer collegiate Oneonta Outlaws (Perfect Game League) on Monday.  He is buying the club from Keith Rogers and Dan Scaring, who relocated the franchise from Saratoga (NY) to Damaschke Field in 2010, after the Single-A Oneonta Tigers (New-York Penn League) split for Connecticut.   Read more here.

Oneonta Outlaws Join Perfect Game League

PRESS RELEASE – PGCBL President Jeff Kunion announced this morning that the Oneonta Outlaws have joined the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.  The team will be owned by long time baseball operators and current owners, Dan Scaring and Keith Rogers.  The team will play a 48 game schedule beginning in June where it has played the last few years, at Damaschke Field.

Oneonta Outlaws Unveil Logo

The New York Collegiate Baseball League’s new franchise in Oneonta (NY) has a logo.  A temporary website for the team is also up and running at www.oneontaoutlaws.com.
