The force was not with the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers (Pacific Coast League) Saturday night, as the game and the team’s 2nd annual “What If…Night” combine with “Star Wars Night” had to be postponed because of bad weather. When the Chasers revisit the double-themed night on August 10, the players will be donning the Omaha Force gear. The Force was one of the finalists in the name-the-team contest in 2010.

While the per game average attendance (to date) for the Omaha Storm Chasers (formerly Omaha Royals) has improved from 3,258 last year at Rosenblatt Stadium to 4,179 this year at the new Werner Park, the crummy weather has certainly put a damper on the level of attendance we would expect for a Triple-A club in a new stadium.
