An entertainment district right next to TD Ameritrade Park, home of the College World Series, is one step closer from happening.  The Omaha (NE) city council approved an agreement with MECA establishing development guidelines, which will regulate just how the city moves ahead with the project at Lot B downtown.  Read more here.

5 ‘Flashback Jerseys’ to be Worn During Omaha Franchise’s 50th Season

PRESS RELEASE – The Omaha Storm Chasers will celebrate their 50th Season in franchise history presented by First National Bank by turning back the clock and wearing five Flashback Jerseys throughout the upcoming 2018 campaign. These five Flashback Jerseys will commemorate each of the organization’s five decades dating back to 1969. The Omaha Royals, Golden Spikes and Storm Chasers will all be represented over the course of the year.

College World Series Well Underway in Omaha

After home teams dominated the Super Regionals at a historic rate, the higher-seeded teams went 4-0 to begin the College World Series.  Oregon State and LSU each scored comeback wins on Saturday, while Louisville and Florida took down their opponents a little smoother on Sunday.  Read more and view bracket here.

NCAA to Allow Beer and Wine Stadium-Wide at CWS

For the first time, beer and wine will be sold to fans in TD Ameritrade Park’s main concourse and grandstand sections on the club level during the College World Series.  Fans in the suites and clubs have been able to buy adult beverages since 2013.  Read more here.  On a related note, click here to check out the food lineup at the CWS.

Storm Chasers Unveil Unis for 2016 Season

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has named Werner Park, home of the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers (Pacific Coast League), its favorite vegetarian-friendly Triple-A ballpark in the country.  Read more here.
