NHL Wraps Up Outdoor Hockey Series at Yankees Stadium

Los Angeles Dodgers NHL Stadium Series LogoThe 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series wrapped up at Yankee Stadium Wednesday night, as the NHL’s New York Rangers defeated the New York Islanders 2-1.  Just four days earlier on Sunday afternoon, the Rangers beat New Jersey Devils 7-3 at the famous ballpark.  A total of 100,132 fans attended the two games.  Read more and view photo here.

Nassau Co. Referendum Would Tie NHL, Atlantic League Projects Together

Nassau County (NY) Executive Edward Mangano announced on Wednesday a plan to hold a public referendum this summer to seek voter approval for a $400 million project that includes a new home for the NHL’s New York Islanders and a $50 million ballpark for a new indy pro Atlantic League team.  Read more and watch video here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the story.
