Bidding Begins for Pieces of Moana Ballpark History

Everything must go!  Before a planned multi-use sports complex can replace the more than 50-year-old Moana Stadium, former home to several affiliated and indy pro clubs in Reno (NV) over the years, fans are being given a chance to bid on old ballpark items, including the lights, seats, and even the scoreboard.  Read more and view news clip here.

Soccer Fields to Replace Moana Stadium?

Two Reno (NV) city councilwomen are spearheading a plan to replace shuttered and soon-to-be-demolished Moana Stadium (aka, “The Biggest Little Ballpark in the World”) with a soccer complex.  The project is called “Miracle on Turf.”  The facility used to be the home to several different affiliated and indy pro clubs.  Read more and view photo here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the link.

Ballpark Visit ALERT: Morse Stadium (Henderson, NV)

The Ballpark Hunter visited Morse Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern Nevada in Henderson near Las Vegas, the potential future home for the Henderson Roadrunners from the indy pro North American League.  View photos here.
