Thunderbolts Ditching Natural Grass for Artificial Turf

PRESS RELEASE – The Windy City ThunderBolts are proud to announce a major improvement to Standard Bank Stadium for the 2015 season. The ThunderBolts are installing a brand new artificial turf field replacing the natural grass field that has been at the site prior to the stadium was built.

Silver Hawks Going Natural, Sign PDC with Cubs

The Single-A South Bend Silver Hawks (Midwest League) are converting the playing surface at Four Winds Field from artificial turf to natural grass, as the franchise begins a new affiliation with the Chicago Cubs.  Read more here.  Watch the removal in action here.
