College football bowls games will take center stage today, but don’t forget the National Hockey League’s 2015 Winter Classic at Nationals Park. The temps in Los Angeles have been about 20 degrees above normal for this time of year, but the NHL rink at Dodger Stadium is ready for Saturday night’s game between the L.A. Kings and Anaheim Ducks. Read more and view photos here. Raising the fun bar, there will be beach volleyball in left field, a small pond in right field, and a street hockey area. The rock band KISS will also be performing. Details are still being negotiated, but there are plans in the works to bring the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks to Dodger Stadium to play a regular-season game on Jan. 25, 2014, using portable rink and refrigeration equipment provided by the NHL.
