4th of July Music Festival a Success at Legends’ Ballpark

The annual Red, White & Boom 4th of July music festival and fireworks show was moved this year from a parking lot outside Rupp Arena to Whitaker Bank Ballpark, home of the Single-A Lexington Legends, and it was reportedly “a hit” with those who attended.  Read more here.

Music Revives The Sandcastle

The Dave Matthews Band Caravan hit Atlantic City last weekend for a successful music festival at cleaned-up Bader Field, the 142-acre former airport site where Sandcastle Stadium has been sitting vacant and detorating since 2006.  After repairs and a little elbow grease, the ballpark itself is now ready for its grand reopening this weekend, when it plays host for the Atlantic City Summer Fest featuring
