Proposed Houston Area Ballpark Delayed

American Association Logical Choice for Montgomery County, Texas Team

While this is pretty much a no brainer, the proposed new franchise in Montgomery, TX near Houston is expected to be an independent professional American Association squad.  While a formal application to the league has not been made, Ventura Sports Group already operates the AirHogs and Diablos in the circuit, and the Houston Astros are apparently not interested in waiving their territorial rights to allow an affiliated club to enter the market.  Read more here.
