After Success of First Big Concert at Ballpark, Efforts Underway to Improve Future Events
The recent Mumford and Sons show in Missoula (MT) saw a huge turnout at Ogren Park in the Old Saw Mill District. Despite damage to the field that caused the Missoula Osprey (Rookie, Pioneer League) to miss six home games, officials are now working to improve on what they see as a successful production to make upcoming shows even better. Deal Approved: Concerts Coming to Osprey’s Ballpark
The Missoula (MT) City Council on Wednesday ratified an agreement struck with the Missoula Osprey (Rookie, Pioneer League) and concert-promoter Logjam Presents to make greater use of Civic Stadium and bring the city more financial security in paying the facility’s debt. The three-way agreement reduces the team’s annual lease from $120,000 to $40,000 a year. Read more here.

Osprey Complete Another ‘Float to the Ballpark’ Promo (We Think)
We were passing through Missoula (MT) on Sunday afternoon and stopped by Ogren Park at Allegience Field a few hours before the Rookie-level Missoula Osprey (Pioneer League) game to see if the “Float to the Ballpark” participants had docked yet. They hadn’t, but we took a few photos to give you a feel for the venue. Critic Withdraws Lawsuit Against Missoula
Ross Best, a huge critic of Missoula’s acquisition of Ogren Park, home of the Rookie-level Missoula Osprey (Pioneer League), has withdrawn his lawsuit against the city over concerns about his health. Council Committee Recommends Ballpark Buyout
The Missoula (MT) City Council’s Administration and Finance Committee voted 6-3 on Wednesday to recommend the city assume a $3.5 million share of the outstanding debt on Ogren Park, home of the Rookie-level Missoula Osprey (Pioneer League), to keep the ballpark from foreclosure. Looking to Refinance Ballpark in Missoula
Play Ball Missoula is working on a refinancing plan to pay off Ogren Park, home of the Pioneer League’s Missoula (MT) Osprey. The organization was formed to build the $12 million stadium and receives a precentage of tickets sales and other revenue streams to make facility debt payments. Play Ball would like to see a flat rate lease from the Osprey to ensure predictable income. Read more here.
