Jackson to Fund Ballpark Feasibility Study

The Jackson (MS) City Council authorized a contract Tuesday morning for entrepreneur Tim Bennett to conduct a study regarding the feasibility of building a new 4,000-seat collegiate baseball stadium in Jackson.  Read more here and here.  Jackson State University has been mentioned as a possible tenant.

Mississippi Braves Break World Record

PRESS RELEASE – The Salvation Army, in conjunction with the Mississippi Braves, succeeded in breaking a Guinness World Record Saturday at Trustmark Park. Upon entering the gates, fans were given a Salvation Army bell in which they had to ring at least five minutes while doing the “twist” immediately following the game.

M-Braves Add New Sales Director and Associates

PRESS RELEASE – On Thursday, November 9 the Mississippi Braves officially announced the hiring of Dave Burke for the newly created position of Director of Sales. In addition, the Braves have acquired two new Sales Associates; Miranda Black a Trainee since 2010 and 2011 Trainee Jacob Newton.
