Astros Release Renderings of Tal’s Hill Removal
The Houston Astros are planning to get rid of Tal’s Hill, the quirky little elevated mound in deep center field at Minute Maid Park. To illustrate the new-look field, the club has released renderings of the $15 million renovation plan that also includes bringing in the fences in center field. Read more here

Aramark Food Teaser
Aramark has revealed a number of new food items that will be added to menus at Major League Baseball venues across the country, including the Chicken and Waffle Cone (stuffed with mashed potatoes) at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros, and Steak and Cheese Dog at Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals. Astros to Nix Choo Choo?
As the Houston Astros prepare to rebrand and move to the American League, owner Jim Crane is reportedly considering removing the train at Minute Maid Park to apparently make room for 12 new ad signs. Okay, so we have to admit we haven’t experienced the stadium first hand, but it seems to us that removing such a unique and nifty feature is a bad move. Astros Finish Installation of Giant New Scoreboard
No longer will Houston Astros fans have to squint to see the tiny old 26 x 45-foot scoreboard at Minute Maid Park. Installation of a new high-tech, 54 x 124-foot video board was completed today. Read more and view video here.
