Milwaukee Braves Move to Atlanta 50 Years Later: A Legal Perspective

Fifty years ago, the baseball world trained its attention on the Wisconsin Supreme Court and its impending decision in the case of Wisconsin v. The Milwaukee Braves, released on July 27, 1966.  At issue was whether or not a Milwaukee trial judge, acting on behalf of the state of Wisconsin, could prevent the Milwaukee Braves Major League Baseball team from relocating to Atlanta.  Read more here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the link.
