Plans were formally announced this week for an 8,500-seat baseball stadium in Shakopee (MN) that a newly formed minor league team will call home. A goal for the team is to be a part of the American Association (Independent Professional) and revive the old-time rivalry between the Minneapolis Millers and the St. Paul Saints. Read more here. There was another step forward in plans to bring a minor league baseball team and stadium to the Twin Cities south of the river. Organizers invited residents of Shakopee (MN) to a community event Thursday night at Canterbury Park, where plans and photos were unveiled.
