Holman Stadium to Get New Team

Sellout Streak Comes to and End in Lowell

The Single-A Lowell (MA) Spinners had a great attendance run with 413 consecutive regular-season sellouts at LeLacheur Park.  That streak came to an end on Tuesday night, when the Spinners drew a paltry (sarcasm) 3,725 fans, which is below the ballpark’s 4,767-seat capacity.  Read more here.

Lowell’s LeLacheur Park Needs $300K in Repairs

Lowell Spinners LogoDan Beaulieu, Director of Stadium Operations for LeLacheur Park, indicates that the 11-year old home for the Lowell Spinners needs at least $300,000 in repairs, including roof improvements, a new outfield wall, and an upgraded cooling system.  There is apparently $210,000 available in the ballpark capital account, and funds for a new outfield wall could be financed and repaid through a ticket surcharge that kicks in next season.  Read more here.
