Barnstormers Ask County for Help Paying Lease

The owner of the Lancaster Barnstormers (Independent Professional, Atlantic League), enduring heavy losses, is asking Lancaster County to help pay its rent at Clipper Magazine Stadium.  But the county would get repaid in full by 2034, according to a proposal by Lancaster Baseball LLC.  Read more here.

‘Cash Flow’ Problem in Pittsfield

The NECBL’s American Defenders of Pittsfield are apparently having a bit of a ‘cash flow’ problem, which is delaying their payment of approximately $35,000 to the City of Pittsfield for use of Wahconah Park.  For now, Mayor James M. Roberto is showing patience with the situation and has not yet imposed a deadline for payment.
