Laredo (TX) City Council last week unanimously voted in favor of a proposal to bring baseball back to Laredo. The Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (Owls of the Two Laredos) will occupy Uni-Trade Stadium for the 2018 Liga Mexicana de Béisbol campaign. Lemurs Announce Two-Game Sister Cities Classic
The indy pro Laredo Lemurs (American Association) and Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo (Liga del Norte) will battle it out in the two-game Sister Cities Baseball Classic. The first game will be played at Uni-Trade Stadium on November 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. The teams will then travel just across the border for a game at Parque La Junta Field on November 7, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Read more here. Laredo Council Approves Deal with Lemurs’ New Ownership
The Laredo (TX) City Council on Tuesday approved a memorandum of understanding with the new owners of the indy pro Laredo Lemurs (American Association) for operating the team at Uni-Trade Stadium. The league must still approve the ownership transfer. The ownership group, Laredo Baseball Holdings, is reportedly from Mexico. Read more and watch news report here. Edinburg Chooses Most-Recent Tenant Over Ventura Sports Group
The city of Edinburg (TX) in November put the lease to Edinburg Stadium up for bid, after the owner of the indy pro Edinburg Roadrunners (North American League/United League) were late in making lease payments. In the end, the city decided to stick with the Roadrunners over Ventura Sports Group, the owner of the indy pro Laredo Lemurs (American Association). Read more here.

Inaugural Lemurs Open New Park
