Improvements Coming to Copeland Park

LaCrosseLoggers LogoLaCrosse Loggers (Summer Collegiate, Northwoods League) General Manager Chris Goodell says when fans enter Copeland Park next summer, things will look much different.  Changes coming include a remodeled entrance, new ticket office, retail store, more restrooms, and a second concessions area underneath a new covered pavilion.  Read more and watch news report here.  View renderings here.

New Video Board on Deck for Loggers

LaCrosseLoggers LogoThe summer collegiate LaCrosse Loggers (Northwoods League) are getting a new Daktronics video board that is expected to be installed by April.  Here is a look at the current scoreboard that was erected when Copeland Park (“The Lumberyard”) was built for the Loggers in 2003.

Loggers’ Copeland Park Getting Improvements

LaCrosseLoggers LogoThe summer collegiate LaCrosse Loggers (Northwoods League) hosted a public event this week to update progress on the new dugouts and $350,000 artificial turf installation at Copeland Park.  They also announced that plans for a large video screen for the left field scoreboard are going ahead as part of the planned $650,000 overall project.  Read more hereView Facebook photos here.

Loggers Negotiating Lease Extension

LaCrosseLoggers LogoAfter 10 successful seasons as one of the top two or three summer collegiate clubs in the country, the  LaCrosse Loggers (Northwoods League) are working to extend their lease at Copeland Park.  The franchise was launched in 2003 after the near downtown field next to the St. Croix River was improved with a new grandstand and other amenities.  Read more here.

Loggers Named 2012 NWL Organization of the Year

PRESS RELEASE – The La Crosse Loggers and their general manager Chris Goodell swept the postseason awards announced at the Northwoods League’s fall meetings that were held recently in Rochester, Minn. Loggers, UW-La Crosse Announce Partnership, Will Raise Funds for Ballpark Improvements

$70,000 Raised From Loggers Winter BBQ

PRESS RELEASE – The La Crosse Loggers baseball club announced today that just over $70,000 was raised from their 9th Annual Winter Baseball BBQ that took place at the La Crosse Center South Hall on January 27.  All of that money has been given to UW-L baseball in an effort to help preserve the program. Loggers Owner Enters Final Week in Run for Congress
