First-Year Kokomo Jackrabbits Open New Park
One day after weather postponed the team’s inaugural festivities on Saturday, the Kokomo Jackrabbits (Summer Collegiate, Prospect League) opened the new Kokomo Municipal Stadium Sunday. Because of sub-60 degree temperatures and incessant drizzle, a significant number of fans chose to watch the game from the concourse under the awning. Read more and view photos here.

FEMA Approves Artificial Turf for Kokomo Ballpark
Kokomo Municipal Stadium, the soon-to-be-open ballpark under construction for the Kokomo Jackrabbits (Summer Collegiate, Prospect League), continues to inch closer to completion, as does a settlement in the ongoing litigation between the city and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. Kokomo Team Name and Logo Unveiling Set for Oct. 20
MKE Sports & Entertainment will unveil the name, logo and manager of the new summer collegiate Prospect League franchise in Kokomo (IN) on Monday, Oct. 20 at 1:30 (CST) at the Kokomo City Hall. Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight, MKE owner Mike Zimmerman and the new manager will participating in the press conference. A ballpark construction update will also be provided. Learn more here.
