Jackrabbits Ready for Inaugural Home Opener in Controversial New Ballpark

FEMA to Withhold Dollars Over Kokomo Ballpark Dispute
FEMA will withhold all hazard mitigation grants and assistance to the state of Indiana over the city of Kokomo’s continued construction of a contested baseball stadium, the agency informed state officials Wednesday. Bill to Stop Kokomo Ballpark Construction Passes State Senate
The emergency FEMA-funds protection bill introduced by State Sen. Jim Buck (R-Kokomo) that could potentially stop construction of the new ballpark being built in a flood-prone area of Kokomo (IN) for the summer collegiate Kokomo Jackrabbits (Prospect League) passed the Indiana Senate on Thursday.
