Growlers Getting New LED Video Scoreboard

Baseball fans will be able to keep track of Kalamazoo Growlers (Summer Collegiate, Northwoods League) games with a new scoreboard this season.  The Kalamazoo (MI) City Commission approved the purchase of a $250,000 LED video display board from Daktronics, splitting the cost with the baseball team.  It will replace a 14-year-old scoreboard that has become expensive to repair and uses hard-to-find parts.  Read more here.

Homer Stryker Field Flooded

Homer Stryker Field, home of the Kalamazoo Growlers (Summer Collegiate, Northwoods League), is significantly flooded due to the rising waters of the Kalamazoo River.  Fortunately, the Growlers don’t open their season until Tuesday, May 30.  Read more and view video and aerial photo here.
