SeaWolves Extend Lease Through 2020 Season

PRESS RELEASE – The SeaWolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, are pleased to announce the club has signed an amended and restated lease agreement that runs through the 2020 season.

SeaWolves Host First Downtown Block Party of the Summer

The Double-A Erie SeaWolves (Eastern League) hosted the the first Downtown Block Party of the summer at Jerry Uht Park Thursday.  Party goers enjoyed the music of M4, a band of young people who are members of the Rock School at World of Music.  Read more here.  View slideshow here.

SeaWolves Unveil New Features for 2013 Season

PRESS RELEASE – The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A Affiliate of the American League Champion Detroit Tigers, will unveil a series of new and exciting features for the 2013 season, which begins on Thursday, April 4 when the team hosts the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates).

‘Gray Monster’ Coming to Jerry Uht Park

A new 33-feet-high wall is being constructed in left field at Jerry Uht Park, home of the Double-A Erie SeaWolves (Eastern League).  Unlike the Green Monster at Fenway Park, the “Gray Monster” will have a yellow home-run line 17 feet up the wall, so batter won’t have to blast balls over the top to round the bases.  Read more and see photo here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the link.

SeaWolves Extend Ballpark Lease

PRESS RELEASE – The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, announced today an extension of the team’s lease agreement with the Erie County Convention Center Authority for the use of Jerry Uht Park. The new two-year extension runs through the 2014 season.

MiLB President Visits SeaWolves, Other Teams

As part of his multi-team tour this season, Minor League Baseball President Pat O’Conner recently visited Uht Park, home of the Double-A Erie SeaWolves.  In an interview with the Erie Times-News, O’Conner stated: “I don’t come into towns with an agenda. I come with three questions I ask: What’s your biggest concern, what keeps you up at night, and what can we do for you?”  Read more here.
