Chase Field’s standing as one of baseball’s most hitter-friendly ballparks is subject to change. The Arizona Diamondbacks officially will unveil a humidor for 2018. Bees Turn to Humidor to Stop Cheap HRs
The Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A, Pacific Coast League) have installed a baseball humidor at Smith’s Ballpark to keep the balls from shrinking, hardening and losing friction, which can cause them pop off the bat for what Bees spokeman Kraig Williams calls “cheap home runs.” Read more and view photo here.

Isotopes Unveil Humidor for Baseballs
At the request of the parent Los Angeles Dodgers, the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes (Pacific Coast League) have installed a humidor at Isotopes Park in which to store the team’s baseballs. Because of the high altitude and dry climate at the ballpark, balls travel farther off the bat than they would at sea level. Read more and view photo here.
