Upgrades Coming to Mustangs Ballpark

Martinsville to Address Future of Mustangs

As costs continue to rise, while revenues remain flat, the city of Martinsville (VA) has tough budget decisions to make, including evaluating the future of the Martinsville Mustangs (Summer Collegiate, Coastal Plain League).  First, over the last four years, the league has managed the team, as part of a five-year contract with the city that expires after the 2019 season.  Second, Hooker Field needs an estimated $1.5 million in repairs and renovations.  Read more here.

Mustangs Host 2nd Annual Ballpark Beer Fest

After a sell-out debut last year, Ballpark Beer Fest will return to Hooker Field this Saturday.  The event is a partnership between the Martinsville Mustangs (Summer Collegiate, Coastal Plain League) and Rooster Walk Inc.  Read more here.  Get more details here.

Hooker Field Artificial Turf Project Completed

Representatives from various organizations were on hand Friday to celebrate the $230,000 infield artificial turf project at Hooker Field, home of the summer collegiate Martinsville Mustangs (Coastal Plain League).  Read more and view photos here.

Mustangs to Unveil New Scoreboard Tonight

PRESS RELEASE – The Martinsville Mustangs are pleased to announce the addition of a new LED scoreboard to Hooker Field. The scoreboard includes an LED message panel on the top, as well as LED panels for each spot on the board including a customizable spot for each team.
