Bring on the Wind at Progressive Field

As a follow up to the Cleveland Indians renewable energy story we posted back in October, the innovative wind turbine designed by Cleveland State University professor Dr. Majid Rashidi has finally been mounted atop Progressive Field.

Progressive Field: Wind Turbine Testing Ground

A new 18-foot-wide helix wind turbine developed by a Cleveland State University professor will be installed on top of Progressive Field, home of the Clevelend Indians, by March.  Brad Mohr, assistant director of ballpark operations, said he was approached by CSU officials about the project after speaking at a meeting about the team’s commitment to sustainability.  Read more and view turbine here.
