Vanderbilt Announces Home Run Lounge Premium Area

PRESS RELEASE – To enhance the gameday experience of guests at Hawkins Field, Vanderbilt Athletics is set to unveil the Home Run Lounge — a premium tented lounge area for fans 21 and over to purchase beer and spiked seltzer.

Commodores Open Practice on New Turf

The Vanderbilt University Commodores baseball team has begun fall practice on a new field turf at Hawkins Field.  Vandy made the switch from natural grass to synthetic turf over the summer.  Read more here.  View video here.

League Takes over Outlaws, New Owners Needed

The summer collegiate Prospect League has taken over the Nashville Outlaws and will operate the club during the 2011 season.   The founders of the 2010 inaugural franchise notified the league in March that they would not be returning.  If the team is to survive beyond this year, a new owner will have to be found.
