There were many, many Expos fans in Cooperstown, having come from about five hours away by cars and by bus. They were all together again, rooting for a common cause, and in the process showing a national American audience on television — not to mention current commissioner Rob Manfred — that if MLB should return to Quebec, their arms would be wide open. The New York Yankees and fans celebrated Yogi Berra‘s 87th birthday on Saturday at Yankee Stadium. The Hall of Famer was driven around the field in a golf cart before stopping at home plate, where he was honored with a cake and the crowd’s touching rendition of “Happy Birthday.” Read more here. An estimated 4,000 fans showed up at Target Field on Thursday to remember and say their final good-byes to Minnesota Twins great and Hall of Fame slugger Harmon Killebrew. Everyone from MLB Commissioner Bud Selig to Hall of Famer Hank Aaron turned out to pay their respects. Read more here.
