Gold Sox to Cease Operations Unless New Ownership is Formed

PRESS RELEASE – CSH International announced today that the Yuba Sutter Gold Sox will cease operations on November 30th after spending the last three seasons as a member of the Great West League (GWL) unless a new ownership group led by Vice-President / General Manager Michael Mink can be formed.

Potters Join California Collegiate League

The Lincoln Potters baseball organization announced they will be joining the California Collegiate League beginning in 2019. The move comes after the club spent the past two seasons as a member of the Great West League.  Read more here.

GWL Suspending Operations for 2019, Teams May Continue Operating Next Season

PRESS RELEASE – The Great West League announced today that it is suspending operations for the upcoming 2019 season. The announcement was made by Great West League Commissioner Ken Wilson, on behalf of the league Board of Directors.

Heat Extend Ballpark Lease with Chico State

The Chico Heat (Summer Collegiate, Great West League) have announced they will be playing baseball in Nettleton Stadium on the campus of Chico State University in Chico (CA) until 2020.  The agreement extends the former two-year agreement the Heat had with the University Foundation from 2016 – 2017.  Read more here.

Klamath Falls to Host 2018 GWL All-Star Game

Seattle Seahawks Punter Adds Kick to Portland Pickles Operations

McBean Baseball Field Gets $1.1 Million Makeover, Will Host WJU and GWL’s Potters

A baseball stadium in Lincoln (CA) that was originally christened at the end of World War II has received a $1.1 million makeover in order to will host the William Jessup University baseball team and newly formed Lincoln Potters (Summer Collegiate, Great West League).  Read more and watch news report here.

GWL Will Use Unique Format for 2017 All-Star Game

PRESS RELEASE – Great West League owners have voted to utilize a unique format for the league’s 2017 All-Star Game. Rather than select two All-Star Teams to meet in the game, the owners have decided to have one All-Star Team and the team will play the host Chico Heat.

Yuba City Bears Unveil Logos

Great West League Adds Yuba City to 2017 Lineup

Pickles Make Home Debut

Great West League Begins Inaugural Season

Pickles Ballpark Renovations, Logo, Unis and Mascot Coming Soon

PRESS RELEASE – The Portland Pickles are a work in process, and the next step calls for some major work at Walker Stadium in Lents. The Pickles are one of six baseball teams — three to be named — in the college wood-bat Great West League, which plans to begin a 60-game season on June 3, 2016.

Chico Heat Name General Manager

Baseball Returning to Portland (UPDATED)

A press conference is scheduled for today at noon (Pacific) to announce that Rose City Baseball, LLC is bringing a summer collegiate Great West League franchise to  Walker Stadium in Lents Park in 2016, when the league begins play.  The move will include $650,000 worth of upgrades to the ballpark.
