Great Plains Baseball League Repackaged as Midwest Collegiate League

PRESS RELEASE – The Great Plains Baseball League announced tonight the rebranding of their league, which will now be called the Midwest Collegiate League. Upstart Great Plains League Expands to Rockford

The Great Plains Baseball League, a new summer collegiate league based in the midwest, is placing a new franchise in Rockford, IL.  The team will play at Marinelli Field, former home of the independent professional Rockford Riverhawks.  Read more here.  We haven’t stumbled across any news about this new league, but the league’s branding appears to have been professionally designed, which conveys a “first impression” message of professionalism and legitimacy.  View Rockford’s website here.  A name the team contest is already underway.
