Giants Sued Over Logo

The San Francisco Giants are in a legal dispute with Go Go Sports of Hayward (CA) over the use of the team’s script “San Francisco” logo.  The Giants have been using their logo on merchandise since 1993 but failed to trademark it.  Go Go Sports trademarked a “virtually identical” logo in March.  Despite the drama laid out in SF Weekly, the Giants are on solid legal ground, if the team used the mark in commerce before Go Go Sports.  Read more here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the story.
