It’s the ‘Western Nebraska Pioneers’ for New Gering (NE) Franchise
The start-up Expedition League’s Western Nebraska franchise today announced the team’s name and unveiled the official
logo. The team name is the Western Nebraska Pioneers and the logo, designed by Keith Flynn of Flynnagain Productions, debuted along with the launch of the team’s Web site, www.wnpioneers.com. Read press release here.

Start-Up Expedition League Announces Nebraska Franchise, Team Naming Contest Underway
The start-up Expedition League (Summer Collegiate), the newest member of the summer collegiate wood bat baseball landscape, has announced the arrival of its Gering/Scottbluff (NE) franchise. The team, owned by Chuck and Mayra Heeman, will play at the new Oregon Trail Park Stadium, currently under construction in Gering. Read press release here.
