Empire State Development has awarded Monroe County (NY) a $550,000 grant to help fund significant upgrades to Frontier Field in Rochester, home of the Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A, International League). Lease Drama Over, Red Wings to Stay at Frontier Field
After weeks of tedious stadium lease negotiations, Silver and Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo jointly announced an extension that will keep the Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A, International League) playing at Frontier Field for the next 10 years, with a mutual option for an additional 10 years. Frontier Communications Extends Ballpark Naming Rights Partnership
Frontier Communications has re-upped for naming rights for the Rochester ballpark, agreeing to a 10-year extension with $275,000 due in year one. The stadium is home of the Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A, International League). Read more here.

Red Wings Seeking State Funds for Frontier Field Upgrades
Monroe County and the Rochester Red Wings are seeking $4.5 million from the state for a $7.5 million makeover of Frontier Field, which could include a baseball museum in the old firehouse, installing a new field, revamping the concourse and suites and improving the front gate entrance. Red Wings to Install New RF Videoboard
PRESS RELEASE – The Rochester Red Wings have announced plans to install a brand-new, full color, LED video board in right field replacing the board that has been there since Frontier Field’s inaugural season in 1997. Outdoor Hockey at Rochester’s Frontier Field
The Triple-A Rochester Red Wings (International League) and Frontier Field began hosting outdoor hockey with the Rochester Americans vs. Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) on Friday, Dec. 13. Frontier Field Under New Management
LeBeau Inc.’s contract to manage Frontier Field, home of the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings (International League), expired at the end of 2012 and will not be renewed. Going forward, Monroe County, which owns the stadium, and the Red Wings will partner to manage the facility. Read more here.

Rochester’s Frontier Field Sets Regular-Season Attendance Record (Without Red Wings)
