Cole Named CPL’s 2014 Executive of the Year

PRESS RELEASE – The Coastal Plain League has announced Jesse Cole as the 2014 CPL Executive of the Year. Cole is the Managing Partner for the Gastonia Grizzlies and Forest City Owls, while also serving as President of Team Cole and Associates – the management firm that operates the Martinsville Mustangs.

Forest City Owls Name New GM

Team Cole & Associates Finalize Deal to Manage Mustangs

Operator of Grizzlies and Owls Could Run Mustangs Too

Gastonia (NC)-based Team Cole & Associates is negotiating to manage the summer collegiate Martinsville Mustangs (Coastal Plain League) on behalf of the city of Martinsville (VA), which has continued to subsidize the team to keep it afloat.  A proposed contract is scheduled to come before the city council on Tuesday.  The firm operates the CPL’s successful Gastonia Grizzlies and Forest City Owls.  Read more here.

Owls Broadcaster Wins Jeopardy

Owls, Gardner-Webb to Assist Samaritan’s Feet this Weekend

PRESS RELEASE – Gardner-Webb University baseball, the Gardner-Webb Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and the Forest City Owls will team up to collect shoes for Samaritan’s Feet this weekend.  Any fan who donates a pair of gently used shoes at the gate of the Gardner-Webb versus Coastal Carolina series will receive a free general admission ticket. 

McNair Field Named Best in the Nation

PRESS RELEASE – McNair Field, the home of the Forest City Owls, was named the best baseball field in the country in the category of Schools and Parks by the Sports Turf Management Association. The STMA is a no-profit professional organization of groundskeepers. McNair Field was one of 14 category winners.
