The City of Kokomo (IN) filed a lawsuit Monday against Indiana Department of Homeland Security Executive Director David Kane and the IDHS in an effort to seek “declarative and injunctive relief” pertaining to the IDHS’ order to stop construction on the city’s baseball stadium project. It’s that time of year again, and Modern Woodmen Park, home of the Single-A Quad Cities River Bandits (Midwest League), is once again surrounding by Mississippi River flood waters. But the show must go on, as the police and fire “Battle of the Badges” charity softball game will be played on Saturday, July 5, before the River Bandits take on the Timber Rattlers.
The Double-A Harrisburg Senators were supposed to have home field advantage for the first round of the Eastern League playoffs, but heavy rains on the East Coast have caused the Susquehanna River to completely flood Metro Bank Park.
