In early February, the Elizabethton (TN) City Council voted unanimously to set a February 28th deadline for the Minnesota Twins to commit to an improvement plan for Joe O’Brien Field, home of the Elizabethton Twins (Rookie, Appalachian League). Minnesota Twins Offer Funding for Rookie-Level Ballpark Improvements
The Minnesota Twins have committed $594,000 for an estimated $2 million improvement plan for Joe O’Brien Field, home of the Elizabethton Twins (Rookie, Appalachian League). The rest of the money would need to be matched by the city or donors. The plan is split into three phases, starting with building a new clubhouse, more and improved stadium seating, and turning the current home locker room into the visiting team’s locker room.
