Taylor Promoted to VP of MountainStar Sports Group

Refinancing El Paso Ballpark Debt: Better than Expected Savings

San Antonio Gets Ballpark Advice from L.A. Dodgers

Dodgers executive Janet Marie Smith and El Paso city manager Joyce Wilson were in San Antonio Tuesday to speak at a luncheon with local architects and tour potential sites for a new ballpark that would lure the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A, Pacific Coast League) to downtown. Spring 2015 Targeted for New Pedestrian Pathway to New El Paso Ballpark
A new pedestrian pathway expected to improve access to recently opened Southwest University Park was supposed to be completed by the end of spring, but the $6.5 million project has been delayed. Martin Bartlett, spokesman for the City of El Paso, pointed to the summer of 2015 for completion of the project. Read more watch news report here.

Mock Impressed by Footprint of New El Paso Ballpark
Joe Mock from BaseballParks.com had very positive words to say about Southwest University Park, the new home of the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas (Pacific Coast League), when he spoke with El Paso Inc. from the press box. Mock seemed most impressed at how Populous managed to successfully jam a 9,000-seat baseball stadium into a little more than five acres. Read more here.

It’s the ‘Joplin Blasters’
During a news conference Monday, the owners of the new indy pro American Association franchise in Joplin (MO) announced that the team will be known as the “Joplin Blasters.” Read more here. El Paso Ballpark Sneak Peek
The new downtown El Paso (TX) ballpark for the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas (Pacific Coast League) will open a little later than expected.
