Boise State Takes Next Baseball Steps

Boise State University on Tuesday officially announced Van Tol as their first baseball coach since disbanding the sport in 1980.  He inherits extra challenges as the Mountain West Conference member tries to found a program in time for the 2020 season, including building a stadium, fundraising, hiring a coaching staff, setting a schedule, and recruiting.  It sounds like a unique-colored ballpark turf is an option.  Read more and watch news report here.

Ranking the College Ballparks

NCAA LogoThe folks at StadiumJourney.com have visited about half of the ballparks in Division I college baseball over the past two seasons and have ranked them 1-143 based on a wide range of factors.  Topping the list is Mississippi State University’s Dudy Noble Field.  Read more and view photos here.
