During an unveiling event Thursday morning, it was announced that the Single-A Daytona Cubs (Florida State League) will now be known as the Daytona Tortugas. A new affiliation with the Cincinnati Reds will bring forth a new identity for the Single-A Daytona Cubs (Florida State League). On Thursday, December 4, at 10:30 a.m., Daytona Baseball will unveil new logos and uniform sketches. A name-the-mascot contest will also be launched. Studio Simon reportedly handled the design work.
