Tide Open New Indoor Hitting Facility, Ballpark Renovations Continue

Contract Approved: ‘Bama to Play at Hoover Met

Alabama Crimson Tide LogoThe City of Hoover (AL) approved a contract with the University of Alabama Monday that will have the Crimson Tide play its home baseball schedule at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium next season.  The ballpark was the former home of the Double-A Birmingham Barons (Southern League).  Read more here.  Thanks to Joe DeLeonard for the link.

‘Bama Could Play 2015 Season at Hoover Met

Alabama Crimson Tide LogoWith the University of Alabama Board of Trustees on the verge of approving a preliminary budget for upgrading Sewell-Thomas Stadium, the Crimson Tide baseball team could be playing its 2015 home games at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, the former home of the Double-A Birmingham Barons (Southern League).  Tuscaloosa is about 50 miles from Hoover.  Read more here.
