The City of Hoover (AL) approved a contract with the University of Alabama Monday that will have the Crimson Tide play its home baseball schedule at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium next season. With the University of Alabama Board of Trustees on the verge of approving a preliminary budget for upgrading Sewell-Thomas Stadium, the Crimson Tide baseball team could be playing its 2015 home games at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, the former home of the Double-A Birmingham Barons (Southern League).
