LaCrosse Loggers (Summer Collegiate, Northwoods League) General Manager Chris Goodell says when fans enter Copeland Park next summer, things will look much different. Changes coming include a remodeled entrance, new ticket office, retail store, more restrooms, and a second concessions area underneath a new covered pavilion. Read more and watch news report here. The summer collegiate LaCrosse Loggers (Northwoods League) hosted a public event this week to update progress on the new dugouts and $350,000 artificial turf installation at Copeland Park. They also announced that plans for a large video screen for the left field scoreboard are going ahead as part of the planned $650,000 overall project. Read more here. View Facebook photos here.
After 10 successful seasons as one of the top two or three summer collegiate clubs in the country, the LaCrosse Loggers (Northwoods League) are working to extend their lease at Copeland Park. The franchise was launched in 2003 after the near downtown field next to the St. Croix River was improved with a new grandstand and other amenities. Read more here.
