Cooperstown Hawkeyes Unveil Logo, Oneonta Gets Name Today
The logo for the New York Collegiate Baseball League’s expansion Cooperstown Hawkeyes was unveiled on Monday. At an event this afternoon, the relocated Saratoga Phillies will get a new name, as they make Oneonta their new home. Read more here.

New NYCBL Team Coming to Cooperstown, Nickname Unveiled
Back in May, it was announced that attorney and university professor Tom Hickey had negotiated a deal to bring a New York Collegiate Baseball League team to Doubleday Field in Hall of Fame mecca Cooperstown, NY. After a name the team contest, the team was recently nicknamed the “Cooperstown Hawkeyes”. The team will begin play in 2010 and reportedly pay $10,000 per season (20-25 home dates) to use the ballpark.
