Opening Day for Skeeters

Today is opening day for the expansion indy pro Sugar Land Skeeters (Atlantic League) at the new Constellation Field, and the team is ready to rock with a sold out house, a pre-game party, special on-field ceremonies, giveaways, and post-game fireworks.  The game against the York Revolution begins at 7:05 p.m.

Constellation Field to Amaze Fans, No Stopping at One in Houston Metro

Peter Kirk, chairman of Opening Day Partners (ODP), believes the new ballpark for his indy pro Sugar Land Skeeters (Atlantic League) will “blow people away.”  Also, no big shocker here, but Kirk would like to see another AL franchise set up shop in the Houston area, preferably on the north side of the metro.  Read more here

High Schools to Play First Game at Skeeters Ballpark

StarTex Power Field Now Constellation Field

PRESS RELEASE – The Sugar Land Skeeters, the area’s new minor league baseball team announced Wednesday that the official stadium name of their new home will be “Constellation Field”. The name change from “StarTex Power Field” to “Constellation Field” results from the recent merger between StarTex Power and Constellation Energy, one of the nation’s oldest and largest energy providers. Over the next
