Reliving Dodger Stadium Concerts in Rocketman
Nearly 44 years ago, Elton John performed two sold-out concerts in Dodger Stadium. It was the first rock show in the stadium since The Beatles nearly a decade before. More than 100,000 people flooded the stadium on Oct. 25 and 26, 1975. These concerts are featured prominently in the new biographical film Rocketman. Read more here.

Deal Approved: Concerts Coming to Osprey’s Ballpark
The Missoula (MT) City Council on Wednesday ratified an agreement struck with the Missoula Osprey (Rookie, Pioneer League) and concert-promoter Logjam Presents to make greater use of Civic Stadium and bring the city more financial security in paying the facility’s debt. The three-way agreement reduces the team’s annual lease from $120,000 to $40,000 a year. Read more here.

Whitecaps Look to Attract A-List Acts by Doubling Ballpark’s Concert Capacity
The owners of the West Michigan Whitecaps (Single-A, Midwest League) are working to determine the full capacity of Fifth Third Ballpark if the entire field were used for a concert, not just the infield as it has for past shows. The estimated 16,000 capacity or more could make the ballpark the largest venue in the region and open up a host opportunities for big name concerts. Read more here.
