Braves Lure Comcast HQ to Mixed-Use Community, Media/Cable Giant Will Power Ballpark

Atlanta Braves LogoThe Atlanta Braves and Comcast announced Tuesday the media and cable company will be the sole occupant of a proposed nine-story office building adjacent to the ballclub’s new stadium in Cumberland (GA).  Comcast will also lay high-speed fiber optic cable for the stadium and mixed-use development and be one of the largest sponsors of SunTrust Park.  Read more here.

Astros Owner Sues Former Owner, Media Companies

Houston Astros New LogoHouston Astros owner Jim Crane has sued the team’s former owner and a pair of media companies, alleging he’s lost possibly hundreds of millions of dollars because they misrepresented the value of a regional television network that broadcasts Astros games.  Read more here.
