Neuces County Sues Coastal Bend Thunder

Nueces County (TX) has filed suit against the former Coastal Bend Thunder (now McAllen Thunder) from the United League (now North American League) for more than $142,000 in unpaid rent, utilities, and stadium cleanup and repair costs associated with the team’s lease of Fairgrounds Field.  Read more here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the link.

Thunder Formally Booted from Fairgrounds Field

Locked Out Thunder Face Deadline Today

The United League’s Coastal Bend (Robstown, TX) Thunder have been locked out of Fairgrounds Field for weeks for non-payment of $28,000 in back rent.  Today, January 15, is the deadline for the Thunder to pay up, or they are out.  Don’t hold your breath.  Read more here and here.
